Is calling someone a “silibrained bean-counting enshitifier.” But let’s explore what that really means.
To be “silibrained” is to prefer silicon-based technology over carbon based-life. To believe that silicon will herald the savior we’ve been looking for. To think our collective lives are a few code-snippets away from being fully optimized and therefore uptopianized. In other words, to be silibrained is to be a fool, “larping” as a wise, informed, intelligent citizen. When we cross the threshold into being silibrained we succumb to the corporate propaganda which results in a cold apathy towards other humans and our inherent “fleshy-ness.” The silibrained among us denounce their humanity and need for human connection. In other words, silibrained individuals fully embody the worst qualities of this digital AI era. And this is just where the insult starts.
To be a bean-counter is to be fully money pilled. To think that money will solve all of our problems and finally make us happy. To be a bean-counter is to forgo time with your family, to avoid human, feelings-based purchases, to see every decision as a part of a return on investment calculation, to never succumb to those “fleshy” urges. A bean-counter prefers the company of fake numbers to that of real, complicated people. They find humans to be illogical, and resent us for it. Functionally, bean-counters are the optimizers and monetizers that fuel the silispeak-silibrain economic engine. Without these people the sili-based economy we currently find ourselves in wouldn’t exist. Bean-counters are willing to do anything for money, to make “number go up” even if the expense is the soul of an entire generation.
Finally we have “enshitifier,” which is the noun tense of the pop-culture term “enshitify” which describes the all too common occurrence of CEOs ruining whatever they’ve spent their life building because they couldn’t resist their greed-based bean-counting temptations. When viewed in this light we see that the potential of a silibrained bean-counter is realized on this enshitified peak. And once is peak is summited enshitifiers begin to destroy that which they have sacrificed everything else to realize.
We can now see that labeling someone as a “silibrained bean-counting enshitifer” is as much of a message as it is an insult. A message which communicates that the silicon they serve, the beans that they compulsively count, and the object that their greed will inevitably enshitify has stripped them of decency and humanity. A message which communicates that “we’re on to you, and we’re tired of your shit.”
