Dribbble
Dribbble occupied a special place online until April 2025, when they removed the ability for their users to share any external links. This change meant designers couldn't reference their portfolios or websites via their profiles or posts. Whatever work users shared on Dribble would be siloed to a small lightly-trafficked website.

I refused to support this change and thus stopped posting my work there. You can check out my profile by clicking this link, but I'm not sure I'll ever return.
Substack
Most of what I believe about Substack can be summed up by this article. In essence, it argues that Substack attempts to pose as a unique hub for writers but is, in reality no different than other social media platform. I don't spend time building things on mainstream social media, so why make an acception for Substsck?
BlueSky
They say they best way to grow an audience via social media is to genuinely and generously use and contribute to the platform.

I just don't see myself as someone who will ever willingly and regularly engage others via social media app, regardless of who made it or why, or what platform it competes with.
Why So Boring?
I like to keep things simple. Less time spent on social media means more time for work that genuinely excites me. Less time building an audience on harmful platforms means more time to build things elsewhere.
